Inspection Labels

Inspection Point Labels are specially designed to identify Thickness Measurement Locations (TML's) on non-insulated piping and vessels. UTL3 labels are also used in conjunction with inspection ports on insulated piping and vessels to record the TML legend. Our UTL2 and UTL3 inspection labels have protected write-on areas for recording TML numbers, line numbers, etc.

Inspection Point Labels are of soft tempered matte clear sealed anodized aluminum foil. The anodizing process produces a coating that is sapphire hard, transparent, static resistant, and integral with the aluminum surface. The 3M #200 adhesive provides a strong bond on metal, plastic and painted surfaces. These labels are UV stable and resistant to most solvents, oils and household chemicals.

UTL1 labels are 1 3/4" elipses with 3/4" diameter holes.
UTL2 labels are 3" by 3" with 1" diameter holes, and 3/4" by 2 1/2" write-on blank areas.  They have self-laminating clear plastic flaps to permanently seal in written information.
UTL3 labels are 1 3/4" by 3", with 3/4" by 2 1/2" "write on" blank areas. They also include a self-laminating coverall clear flap.
